IMPACTS ON YOUR CAREER (i.e. in how far has there been an advancement in your career in the last 4 years? Please note that this does not only refer to early career researchers; impact on career might also be related to network building, stakeholders engagement and others)

Rita Cavallotti

I participated to the Annual Training School 2015, 11th – 15th May 2015, Keele University and realized a STSM (July 2015 in the Centro di Ateneo e Ricerche sulla Famiglia of Università Catolica del Sacro Cuore (UNICATT), Milan.

In the wake of this research period, the Director of Centre of UNICATT and me as Assistant Director of IESF (Instituto de Estudios Superiores de la Familia) of UIC (Universitat Internacional de Catalunya) signed an agreement of cooperation for studies on Intergenerational Family Solidarity, in 2016.

Francesca Vittoria Danioni

When I took part to the COST INTERFASOL TRAINING SCHOOL in Milan I was a 1st year PhD student. Now, I will be submitting my PhD thesis in September. I have published a few works dealing with the topic of value transmission and I am still carrying out my research project dealing with value assessment. I have participated in national and international conferences (e.g., XXI Congresso Italiano AIPS “Professioni e Professionalità della Psicologia dello Sport in Italia” in May 2016, 8th Congress of the European Society on Family Relations (ESFR). Changing Family Relations – Gender and Generations- TU Dortmund University, Germany, September 2016) and in national and international Summer Schools (e.g., Scuola Estiva AIP di metodologia, Centro Residenziale Universitario di Bertinoro in June 2016, Summer Adoption Research Institute, May 2017, University of Massachusetts Amherst, MA, U.S.A.).

Rita Budginaite

Academic achievements including involvement in international networks/workshops was acknowledged by Lithuanian Research Council and my university:

  • Awarded Vilnius University scholarship for outstanding academic achievements at PhD level in 2017
  • Awarded Lithuanian Research Council scholarship for outstanding academic achievements (PhD level) in 2016
  • Awarded Lithuanian Research Council scholarship for outstanding academic achievements (PhD level) in 2015

In terms of network building, participation in Training school in Milan and in Training school in Dortmund as well as participation in the conference “Representing migration” (using ITC grant) were very important opportunities to meet young researchers interested in similar issues and we stay connected with a number of them. It did not lead to common projects or other substantial collaboration, because I am focusing now on completing my PhD thesis. But when developing comparative research proposals in the future after completion of PhD, early career researchers from the training schools would be the first people I would think of.
